ĢƵ Foundation Golf Classic coming to Chatham

PITTSBORO, N.C. – Golfers, grab your clubs for a day of fun and fellowship for a good cause as the ĢƵ Foundation hosts its 12th Annual Chatham County Golf Classic on Wednesday, May 21, at the Chapel Ridge Golf Course.

The proceeds from the Golf Classic will be used to help provide scholarships and other financial assistance.

Tournament Chairs are Barber Holmes and Chris Ehrenfeld.

Shotgun start is at 9 a.m., with lunch from 1-2 p.m.

The format for the Chatham County Golf Classic is four-person Captain’s Choice. Prizes will be awarded to top teams in each flight.

"We are so grateful for the support we have received in Chatham County,” said Dr. Emily C. Hare, Executive Director of the ĢƵ Foundation. “Chatham County has given so much to us and we will use funds raised in the tournament to go directly back to our students, faculty, and staff. We look forward to the event and hope everyone will come out and join us!”

The ĢƵ Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, ĢƵ. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of the college and uses them to promote its educational mission and assist students through scholarships and grants.
